First of all BritArim is an idea, it's group of liberal israeli citizens working together for free.

BritArim is the immediate and practical solution for uniting the liberal camp into an effective political and social force.

BritArim is a coalition of municipalities and other local governments that will firmly defend their liberal and democratic character in accordance with the values of the Declaration of Independence.

BritArim is a bridge between the various fractions in the liberal public, loyal to the values of the Declaration of Independence.

At the event “Building the Israeli vision” August 8, 2023:

The goal of BritArim: to establish a power structure that will work to decentralize the power of the government and to create a liberal living space protected from the arbitrary decisions of a casual majority.

The way: to unite as many cities and liberal localities as possible into BritArim, which will act as a center of power against the government, and will create cooperation and information sharing between the local governments.

Example: The project “Naim Be Sofash” [the name of the project “We are moving in the Weekend” is a wordplay in Hebrew; the word Na’im has two meanings: “moving” and “pleasant”]. A public transportation project that operates on weekends. The project was established as a collaboration of ten local governments and provides a transportation solution in a realm in which the government would not act. BeritArim will create similar projects in all areas of life to maintain a liberal lifestyle. Our strength is in our unity!

Our values:

✔ A Jewish and democratic state:

 Broad consensus to be required for any legislation that concerns changing the rules of government and the balance of power between the authorities (Legislative, Executive and Judicial).

✔ Liberal alliance 

Formation of an alliance that will unite all liberal cities and local governments to a significant socio-economic-political force and preserve the camp’s liberal character.

✔ The decentralization of power 

Reducing the power of the executive branch and increasing the responsibility of the local governments.

✔ Liberal space 

Areas allowing a free lifestyle to their residents under the jurisdiction of the local government without distinction of religion, race, sex, origin, gender identity or sexual orientation.

✔ Liberal education 

Education for the values of the Declaration of Independence and liberal values, without religion, racism or discrimination, and encouragement of “core” studies and democratic citizenship.

✔ Gender equality

Equal representation of women and men in all institutions and bodies of the authority, and promoting women and minorities in all areas of life.

✔ A liberal weekend 

Transportation, commerce, education and culture will be active on the weekends, without depriving workers of their rights.

✔ Separation of religion from the state 

Freedom of religion and freedom from religion, without religious coercion, including recognition of civil marriages and secular burials.
